Cruise the romantic Rhine when its famous German Christmas markets are in full swing and its towns and villages are jingling with festivity. As well as excellent Christmas shopping this great value for money cruise also offers the chance to admire truly breathtaking scenery as you gently cruise the romantic Rhine.
Day 1
Early morning coach pick - up and a journey to Dover / Folkestone for the 9.30am crossing to Calais. Alternatively join at the Holiday Inn Ashford. We will then journey to Koblenz to join the MS Arlene in time for your included three course evening meal. During dinner we will cruise to Boppard, where after dinner you can enjoy a drink in one of the local bars. D

Day 2
This morning, the MS Arlene will begin her cruise of the River Rhine. We will travel to Rudesheim, where we berth around lunchtime. Take the short stroll into Rudesheim to explore the Christmas Markets or board the land train on our optional excursion to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musik Kabinett, followed by a Gluhwein tasting session. After, you will have free time before making your way back to our vessel for your included evening meal. This evening, enjoy our optional wine tasting or visit the Drosselgasse to soak up the local hospitality. B, L, D

Day 3
After breakfast we cruise to Koblenz. Join our optional excursion to Cologne where there are no less than five Christmas Markets to choose from offering loads of gift ideas. On our return from Cologne, time-permitting, we will make a short visit to the celebrated Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market) in Koblenz. This evening we remain berthed in Koblenz, after our Captain’s Dinner enjoy entertainment on board, or take a stroll into the town. B, L, D

Day 4
After breakfast, we bid farewell and begin our journey back to Calais for the return crossing. Time permitting we will make an en route visit to a wine warehouse. On arrival back in the UK we return you to your original joining point. B

Join us on a guided tour of the world-famous Siegfried's Mechanical Musik Kabinett. Also included as Siegfried's is the opportunity to sample some of Adolf's special glühwein and retain the specially decorated mug as a souvenir (a non-alcoholic version is also available).

Cologne Christmas Markets
The Rhineland capital and cathedral city of Cologne was founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago and is now famous for its mighty Gothic cathedral and for 4711: the original Eau de Cologne. Here you will also be able to explore the marvellous Christmas markets and enjoy the very special festive atmosphere.
